On Tuesday, Sept. 23, the English electronic music duo, Disclosure, took on the Santa Barbara Bowl with a lively and vibrant show. Disclosure first released music in 2010, followed by their debut album, Settle, in 2013, which featured hit songs like “Latch” with Sam Smith, “White Noise,” and “You & Me.”

Their set began after an hour-long set by Bullet Tooth, a UK-based DJ and producer. Disclosure, consisting of the two brothers: Guy and Howard Lawrence, were on stage for the entire show on vocals, drums, and keyboard. They later brought out special guest Leven Kali to debut their new song, “one2three,” featuring Leven Kali and Chris Lake. Later, three brass players were brought out  for their last song, “You & Me.”

To open their electric set, Disclosure first played “F For You” with bright white lights flashing all around the stage. Their set consisted of a collection of their most popular hits, including “Latch,” “White Noise,” “She’s Gone, Dance On,” and more. The crowd was lively and maintained high energy, jumping and dancing throughout the duration of their performance. The concert never faced a dull moment.

Disclosure’s most recent album, Alchemy, was released on July 14, 2023. Alchemy is the duo’s fourth studio album, and was received with high praise from news outlets like Pitchfork, calling it, “…fresher and more fun than the brothers have sounded in ages,” and claiming it to be, “…clearly meant as a reboot, repositioning them as dance artists who happen to make hits, rather than chart aspirants dabbling in club tropes.”

Disclosure is part of the Santa Barbara Bowl’s 2025 lineup, also including the highly anticipated upcoming shows from Empire of the Sun, Mac DeMarco, and HAIM over the span of the next two months.
