This category features stories written by Santa Barbara High School students who are not currently enrolled in the Forge class. These pieces are intended to be reported, factual journalism rather than opinion pieces or op-eds. Students may submit coverage of sports games, press conferences, feature stories, day-in-the-life pieces, and more. This section helps distinguish student submissions from work produced by trained Forge class writers, while still giving all students a chance to publish their reporting.

All stories published here must follow our content guidelines, but these must also accurately represent the truth in an un-biased way. We edit for brevity, clarity, quality, and accuracy. We appreciate receiving the stories of the student body, and submitted articles are subject to peer and adviser review.
