Today outside the cafeteria, the Santa Barbara High School’s Olive and Gold Yearbook Team distributed their 120th yearbook. The program started back in 1906. This year’s yearbook distribution featured DJ Claire Putnam, Clyde the dog, and the Don Mascot. The class printed hundreds of copies of the new #LikeaDon issue, with each section boasting a name like “#Senior Superlatives” and “#Senior year like a Don.”

Yearbook Adviser Joanne Liskin Cloutier said “I’m incredibly proud of this year’s yearbook class coming together to make a three-hundred page book in just a few months. It’s an incredibly difficult thing to do. We did such a great job meeting all of our publishing and design goals that we won an award from Jostens this year.” Jostens is the yearbook publisher. The class earned the Gold level of the National Yearbook Program of Excellence, recognizing the advisor and staff at Santa Barbra High School, after winning the “Best Theme Award” at last summer’s JYNW 2025 camp.

Yearbooks are pre-order only and can be bought for $95 yearbook online-only through Friday, June 5. All pre-ordered books can be picked up in Cloutier’s room 87 by end of day Tuesday, June 9 at the latest. BUY ONLINE HERE.

Each yearbook contains a message shared by Adviser Cloutier here:

WE CREATED THIS YEARBOOK FOR YOU!

FIRST, before writing anything in your personal copy of the yearbook, please CHECK

CAREFULLY that your book has no printing flaws such as blank/missing, upside-down or wrinkled pages. If you discover concerns in your book, please bring it to the yearbook room 87 before you write in the book. Once you have written in the book, IT’S YOURS TO KEEP!

THEN, write your name in the book so it can be easily identified and that is better protected against theft.

NEXT, our staff tried to make sure that we have created an inclusive yearbook with as few mistakes as possible. If you have any concerns about the book, or recommendations for next year, please put them in writing and suggest a way to solve the problem, then bring them to the yearbook room.

Please realize this yearbook is created by students for students. We try to make it great, but it is not a professional publication.

FINALLY, as adviser, I want to thank the staff for what I feel is an amazing collection of memories.

Remember this is a student publication. Although we have made every attempt to make this an accurate account of the year, some errors are bound to occur. It is my hope that, as a student, you will share with Olive & Gold staff members what you like about the book.

Thank you!

Joanne Liskin Cloutier,

OLIVE & GOLD Yearbook Adviser
