This year, the boys and girls soccer teams here at SBHS worked hard to have a successful season. Although both the boys’ and girls’ seasons didn’t necessarily go as planned, they still managed to impress and have great school spirit. Boys Soccer Team Captain Pietro Nascente noted, “We’re all really close to each other. We’re all friends.”
Even though the team finished 8-9-4 overall and 5th in the Channel League, the Dons were able to work together and keep their spirits high. As for the girls who went 3-9-6 and finished 6th in the Channel League, team captain Sofia Lopez describes her team’s strengths, saying “Working together as a whole. I’d say we’re pretty strong fighters.” Don’s team spirit is never down, even if there is a series of losses. Both soccer teams are preparing for a great season of working together, no matter how it turns out.
